Project Description
Until You Wake is a fast-paced 3D action archery shooter that challenges players to master precision and agility in a beautifully crafted world. The game was our team’s first experience with Unity, and we focused our pre-production efforts on establishing solid pipelines for artists, UI implementation, enemy AI, and level whiteboxing. This foundation allowed the design team to experiment with mechanics early, while the art team crafted an immersive world that brought the game’s haunting atmosphere to life. By prioritizing these technical and creative pipelines, we ensured a smoother transition from concept to execution.

Technical Contributions
After pre-production, my primary focus was on AI and movement systems. I designed and implemented the pathfinding and attack patterns for wall-crawling spider enemies, making them a dynamic and terrifying presence in the game. Their ability to traverse walls and ceilings in realistic, unpredictable ways heightened both immersion and challenge. Additionally, I engineered a physics-based third-person movement system that integrated seamlessly with the game’s environment, ensuring fluid motion and responsive controls. This system helped create a satisfying and immersive combat experience, reinforcing the game’s core mechanics.

Leadership and Collaboration
As producer, I facilitated communication between art, design, and development by leading weekly stand-ups and hosting one-on-one meetings with team members. To strengthen team cohesion and morale, I organized monthly social bonding activities, which encouraged open and constructive feedback, ultimately improving collaboration. I also handled weekly progress reporting, ensuring that all stakeholders remained informed on development milestones and roadblocks. By fostering a supportive and communicative environment, I helped the team stay engaged and focused throughout the project’s development.
